March 8, 2005, the families of the 1st Calvary Division wait with great anticipation to see their loved ones come home after a year in Iraq.
It was a clear, crisp day and emotions ran high as the crowd waited for more than 2 hours for the buses to arrive. No one complained though, because this was the easy part. They knew their loved ones were home and safe now.
Handmade signs were created with love and displayed with pride by fathers, mothers, wives , sons and daughters.
The wife and mother of Sgt. James Mathew Fisk anxiously await their first glimpse of him in a year.
The family of Spc4 Armando Olazaba are all smiles in anticipation.

Finally the heros arrive.
A prayer of gratitude was said.
They were saluted and commended for a job well done.

Then the real reunion began.
Gear was picked up hurriedly.
Spc4 Armando Olazaba and his family head home.
Sgt. Fisk opted for steak dinner as his first stop.
Then some much deserved rest.back to home page
